Uncompleted Yenişehir

In 2020, as in the previous year, we organized an exhibition on the Yenişehir region of Ankara, the modern city center designed in the 1930s, with the theme "Unfinished Yenişehir." This exhibition resulted from a series of 11 workshops conducted by a facilitator group from different disciplines. We aimed to trace the unfinished, interrupted, overlapping, merging, diverging, and incomplete stories of Yenişehir. Unfortunately, the exhibition was left unfinished due to the first coronavirus case in Turkey on the opening day, just like its theme. Although we completed the exhibition installation, it could not meet with the audience in 2020. Following the relaxation of pandemic restrictions, the exhibition was reinstalled in the same location and met with the audience in 2021.

During this process, as with the previous exhibition, I coordinated the workshops and the installation process. However, I was unable to participate in the second installation of the exhibition since my doctoral research started in Weimar. The photographs below are from 2021 when the exhibition was installed for the second time. As in the previous exhibition, I also designed the exhibition's poster, exhibition title, and information boards for the workshops.
